Poetry – Martin Squibbs – I Dream

I Dream

I remember a bird, with a cloud passing by
And I dream to fly

I remember a rock, without this endless will
And I dream to be still

I remember your pain, despair and fret
And I dream to forget

I remember your kindness, doing all that you could
And I dream to be good.

I remember confusion, darkness, deceit
And I dream of belief

I remember your demanding and angry tone
And I dream to be alone.

I remember your beauty, exquisite and fair
And I dream to be there.

And of reality, which in these memories I forsake
So I dream to awake.
