Hank Pellissier
11 a.m., September 22, 2019
The Brighter Brains Institute, a SF Bay nonprofit (https://Humanists.Global) has promoted humanism in Uganda, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Cameroon, and Tanzania for 5 years. It built 4 schools and 2 orphanages, but it eventually decided the best way to provide help is offering $300 startup grants to humanist entrepreneurs – mostly in Nigeria. It has delivered funds for 81 of these small projects, in both rural and small industry enterprises.
Hank Pellissier’s talk will discuss the failures of our other philanthropic methods, the hazards of our present strategy, and our future goals.
Hank Pellissier is founder/program director/CFO of the Brighter Brains Institute. This is his third presentation to Silicon Valley Humanists. He’s very happy to be coming back.
After the Forum, please join us for a lunch at 12:30pm. The lunch is complimentary for first-time visitors and students.
