This Sunday’s Humanist Forum will consist of a video, and then an audience discussion on the topic of “Love and Humanism”.

For Valentine’s Day we will discuss love. From the one-on-one commitment, to family, to society and morality, it’s a major influence in all we do. To start the subject, we’ll watch a TED talk; “A love letter in a Time of Grief.” You can preview it at:

Alex Havasy will introduce the topic

At this Sunday’s Humanist Forum, the topic will be “The Second Impeachment of Donald Trump”.

This will be a discussion among attendees about the upcoming impeachment trial, it’s significance, and how it differs from the previous trial.

This “video/audience discussion” Forum will be about the persons who violated the Capitol this week, and some of the roots of their anger and frustration with “the system” (including a discussion of new “vote splitting” in the U.S.).

We will view one video from a “right” perspective, discuss it, and then view a second longer and more educational video about a shift in U.S. politics over the last several years.

Hopefully, we can add to the perspective that we learned from “The Righteous Mind” by Jonathan Haidt.
