. . . brings together people interested in doing things of a creative nature, such as sculpting, painting or sketching, writing, music, miniatures, stained glass, needlework, or any other medium of self-expression. We provide a sounding board and audience of like-minded people. Some of our activities have been making Humanist banners, composing and performing a "Darwin Rap" for the annual Darwin Day celebration, reading parts from skits and plays, and holding drumming sessions. In our monthly meetings, one or more persons present some aspect of their creative endeavors.
The Humanist Community has several excellent Humanist Celebrants, who perform weddings, naming ceremonies and memorials. Humanist Celebrants have the legal authority to officiate at weddings, and possess diverse resources for celebrations and ceremonies. For more details, contact our Executive Director or any person on the Board of Directors.
Our old friend in the East Bay, nationally known and popular Humanist Molleen Matsumura, writes a freethinker-oriented advice column, Sweet Reason. She invites you to visit her website at http://www.sweetreason.org
